Renaissance (2025)
Oil on canvas, 200 x 200 cm
Following "Atavistic Reminiscence…," "Dolores Callipyge," and "En Prise," "Renaissance," is my fourth painting in this large square format,
whose dimensions are beyond me, calling for total immersion in the image.
This painting could also be called "Deliverance",
or even "Opening",
opening onto confused sensations
long imprisoned in my closed intimate space,
which bustle about like unruly cherubs,
emerging while struggling in a whirlwind
from the kaleidoscopic chaos of this new vision.
I remain serene.
Behind me, the face of the shadow of the "hombres",
becoming a powerless mask
moves away from the center, fading into the background.
for the first time here, I open my eyes,
I call for your gaze, your attention,
something is being born.
